IMHO the following are true:

- Unless one was right there, you didn't see what happened before the video. I know there are reports of things being thrown at the UNC fan.

- There is no video (or reports that I have seen) of what happened before things were allegedly thrown. If you are unaccompanied by home fans at an opponent's place, cheering loudly shouldn't cause things to be thrown at you - nothing should - but you need to understand that calling attention to yourself will make you a target to often drunk people. You can't act like you would at your stadium and not expect to be the one targeted by unruly fans that every fan base has.

- There are likely some students that deserve disciplinary action.

- As a 40ish adult you NEVER charge a group of students - defending yourself in your own seat is acceptable - so is removing yourself from the area - shouldn't HAVE to, but better than charging students.

- Charging/Attacking anyone in an area where you are that outnumbered is just utter stupidity. You MUST remove yourself from the situation before you reach your breaking point - not including true self defense of someone charging/attacking you/family.

- The man cold cocked what appeared to be a student. They may have gone a punch or two too far - but I'm glad others around him came to a fellow Hokie's aid, subduing him as cops arrived -even if it required a punch or two.
